This year’s ILLUMI FEST RUN is organised by Infinitus Productions with an expanded luminescent experience at the i Light Marina Bay. Complementing the popular neon fun run, ILLUMI will also be featuring a space throughout the i Light festival for visitors to share in the incandescent colour celebration.
The collaboration with i Light Marina Bay sees an extension of the glowtastic experience to include an ILLUMI Bar and an ILLUMI space open to all from 9 March 2018 to 1 April 2018. Making its debut at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza, the ILLUMI Bar shines a light on environmental sustainability through incorporating LED-lit “furniture” made with reusable plastic tanks, and provides a vibrant gathering point for visitors to engage in games and activities. Adding to the ILLUMI experience, an interactive ILLUMI space is set to occupy the waterfront by The Promontory with a Neon Playground theme. It will showcase giant glowing installations of popular games such as Twister, Hopscotch, Jenga and Tic-tac-toe for the public to enjoy.
The ILLUMI space culminates in the ILLUMI FEST RUN 2018 on 31 March 2018, where it transforms into the race village where runners can look forward to a spectacular selection of activities to illuminate their race experience. Attractions include an ILLUMI slide, an ILLUMI Paint War, and an ILLUMI Splash Box where participants can get creative with ILLUMI Glow Water. The commencement of the unique glowing running experience will see participants doused in shades of neon glow water and transformed into luminous, moving pieces of a living, multicoloured artwork as they make their way along the Marina Bay waterfront. Filled with resplendent photo opportunities, over 2500 litres of cascading glow water and incandescent ultraviolet ILLUMI Glow Zones, it’s sure to make for a radiant experience.
Affectionately known as a party on the run, the home-grown event will see participants run and dance into the night as the festivities round off in a sea of colour at the giant paint party at the finish line. Fuelled by fresh DJ beats, fluorescent paint cannons and high spirits, the celebration continues at the only glow-in-the-dark paint party in the heart of the city.
“The i Light Marina Bay festival showcases the appreciation of lights as an art form, and as such is a great fit for the colourful, iridescent journey characterised by the ILLUMI FEST RUN” says Jeffrey Foo, Director of Infinitus Productions. “We’re excited to unveil our expanded ILLUMI experience.”
