[Start-Ups] 10 Start-Ups in OpeN-House

N-House opened our doors to the NUS community and the public last Wednesday, with a showcase of 10 start-ups by NOC Alumni and N-House residents. Their inaugural OpeN-House (pun-intended) received spectacular support from the entrepreneurial community at NUS. There was a wide spectrum of attendees – prospective students, NUS students from various faculties, as well as NUS and NOC alumni.

For those who were there but did not manage to visit all the exhibiting booths, and for those who couldn’t make it to the event, we have compiled a list of the 10 exhibiting start-ups, which we hope will provide you with a brief overview of what each of the companies do, and their respective job vacancies:

Jublia

Short Blurb: We make meaningful hellos

Tell Me More: “Jublia is a Swedish word. We realize that there’s a lot of time wasted meeting the wrong people at events like hackathons, and with that, we seek to enhance networking at an event, via a mobile web app. We have worked with ten events so far, both in Singapore and Europe, and we’re now looking at bigger-sized events.”

Tell Me More: “If you have a lot of work that needs to be done but you don’t have time for it, you can pay someone to do it for you. We’re all students. Being students, we’re always short of time and money. Singapore being a fast-paced society, we saw plenty of opportunities with people who were too busy to get various tasks done, and students in need of a few extra bucks. The combination of both made sense.”
