The previous year was wrought with unpredictability and volatility. In the face of such adversities, we retreat to our safe space: the past.
Reflecting upon this, The Ridge’s AY20/21 E-Magazine is an exploration of reminiscence and the negotiated construction of the future viewed through three lenses: reflective nostalgia, restorative nostalgia, and new realities. Through these themes, we examine our personal histories and society’s love for nostalgia, and investigate how the past informs our uncertain future.
